CollStat ist konzipiert für

  • (Städtische) Statistikämter
  • Vereine und Organisationen
  • und Ähnliche

wenn sie ihre Daten auf Qualität prüfen und wenn sie Statistiken und Tabellen für Interne und/oder Externe erstellen.

CollStat wurde erstmals im Spätherbst 2013 in Betrieb genommen.

Komponenten:  alle erwähnten Komponenten sind OpenSource, wenn nicht anders vermerkt

Der Anwender arbeitet vor allem mit dem Werkzeug für die Berichterstellung (Tabulierung) – sei es REX/WHEX oder Xavier. Die beiden Werkzeuge nutzen das Werkzeug „Mondrian“, um die Daten aus einer SQL-Datenbank (Express-Versionen von MS SQL, DB2 oder Oracle) zu lesen.

Der Administrator erstellt neue StarSchemata, erteilt Zugriffsrechte, verifiziert Datenkonsistenz und aktualisiert Inhalte.

Mondrian setzt voraus, dass die Quelldaten in einer spezifischer Form („StarSchema“) vorliegen. Die Konvertierung kann der Anwender selber vornehmen oder der Anwender benutzt unser (proprietäres) Werkzeug „XLDB“.[:en]

  • Organisations
  • and others

when the job is to produce tabulations and minimal statistics for internal and external „consumers“, but is also useful for verifying the data quality at hand.

At the end of 2013, the first organisation started using CollStat. Output was produced with desktop tools as files or printed analzsis.

At the end of 2015, the next organisation started using CollStat. Output could be accessed via Browser, or provided by desktop tools as files or printed analysis.

All components except „XLDB“ are OpenSource.
